International Rotary Service Above Self Award 2022

Frinton Rotary Club awarded our founder, Sonia Shaljean with a Service Above Self Youth Award (2022)

Pride of Tendring Awards 2022

Awarded to us in recognition of making a real difference to the local community.

Queens Award for Voluntary Service 2020

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to UK volunteer groups, the charity equivalent to an MBE.

This award is a culmination of every wonderful volunteer both past and present who has supported our boys and their families. It is a very proud achievement for our team.

Community Improvement Award - Tendring Youth Awards 2019

Awarded to us for the community work done by our young men whilst learning skills as part of the Engage programme.

Bronze Armed Forces Employer Recognition Award 2019

Award received due to our pledge to support the armed forces, including existing or prospective employees who are members of the community. We have signed the Armed Forces Covenant and work closely with the Military Corrective Training Centre in Colchester.

High Sheriff Award 2018

The Essex Community Foundation High Sheriff Award was awarded to us in March 2018. The award included £2,500 towards our programme delivery costs.

National CSJ Family Award 2018

We were very honoured to receive the prestigious Family Award at the National Centre For Social Justice Awards in 2018. The evening provided a great platform to present the mission of Lads Need Dads to a wider audience.

Essex Fire and Rescue Shield 2017

Awarded for recognition of the valuable work we do with young people.

2017 Innovation Award

For demonstating innovation in initiating and developing a service/project to support the community.

Essex High Sheriff Award 2017

Shortlisted in the top three out of 63 organisations in Essex, for the Managing Volunteers.
