Retired media professional - Farming - Rugby - Sailing
Being a reading mentor with Lads Need Dads has proved an ideal ‘retirement’ project following a career in journalism and broadcasting.
I wrote for local and national newspapers before joining fledgling commercial radio with Radio Orwell, in Ipswich. Then on to BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service as a producer/presenter, and news programme presenter with BBC Radio Suffolk. I like pigs…so went pig farming for a couple of years. I also love sailing, rugby – no longer in the scrum! – and the countryside. I’m married, to Sue, with three children. We are grandparents three times over. I like to think this helps with the challenges presented by LND.
